Christmas Shoebox appeal

We are going to support the Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child appeal again this year and would love to be able to donate as many boxes as last year – 130!

A simple shoebox gift packed with love and fuelled by prayer
can have a huge impact! Operation Christmas Child brings
Good News and great joy to children around the world.

Last year children in countries across the globe received gift boxes – in the Middle East, Africa, Eastern Europe, South America and more. Over 10 million boxes were collected and distributed, most of them packed by individuals and families, like us!

There are lots of ideas of what to put in your shoebox on the Samaritans Purse website
The process will be a bit different, because of all the restrictions. You will need to find your own shoebox, fill it with items for a child (choose boy or girl and age group 2-4, 5-9 or 10-14, and add a label or write this information on a piece of paper which you put into the box). You will also need to include £5 for shipping.

UPDATE : Consequent to the second lockdown, the National Collection Week in England has been moved to 5th – 14th December. In this week we will take all the boxes you’ve donated to a local centre. So, up until then, please leave your box

  • at Nature in Art
  • or at Sandhurst Church (which will be open every Saturday from 10 am -4 pm)

If you’d like to support the appeal but can’t get out to buy gifts to make up a box, you can give £15 (£10 for the items in the box and £5 for the shipping) and a box will be made up for you. Please let Carolyn know if you’d like to do this, 01452 731450.

Please support this venture if you can,
to help Christmas happen for children
who otherwise wouldn’t receive anything.
