St Mary’s stands as a beacon of witness beside the main A38. We have a committed, enthusiastic and welcoming worshipping community and play an active part in Benefice life. St Mary’s hosts the Benefice monthly weekday evening prayer gathering and is the home of the Benefice free loan Christian book library.
The oldest parts of the building date from about 1250. In recent years the bells have been restored and the rear of the church has been reordered.
As well as being involved in Benefice and local community mission, Norton has instigated initiatives that help the Benefice look out to the wider world.
Loyal volunteers take care of this beautiful church. We are embedding Eco Church priorities so we respect and celebrate creation and adapt our role within it.
