Midweek Morning Prayer:

We meet on a Tuesday morning at 9.00am. During June, Morning Prayer will be said at Staverton Church.

These gatherings last about 30 minutes. On the last Tuesday of each month, we extend our Morning Prayer by a further 30 minutes to focus on praying for the vacancy and all that it involves. Come to either or both parts, as you are able!

Poems for the Vacancy:

Simon has written a small collection of poems and a hymn to help us through the vacancy. Have a look here. If you would like a printed copy of the booklet you are welcome! They are available without any charge. Just ask.

Prayer Tree:

The Prayer Tree that was set up at Norton Church as part of the Benefice Advent Tree Festival has now gone on the road around the benefice while we are in this time of vacancy without a priest-in-charge.  It will follow the Morning Prayer locations.  Do call in to see it if you are nearby or are there for prayer and worship.  Prayer requests can be written on tags and tied to the tree branches.  Everyone is invited to think and pray about hopes and dreams for our benefice as we seek out God’s plan for us.

Benefice Book Library

Some of you may have noticed that a bookcase recently appeared at the back of Norton church containing the start of what we hope will be a growing collection of Christian books!? This is the new Benefice library, a free loan resource of Christian books that people can borrow on trust. A BIG THANK YOU to those who have already donated books to get us going – reference books, prayer books, advice books, story books, testimony books and more, designed to inform, encourage and entertain. If you have any Christian books that you’d like to donate, please bring them along! While doing so, do have a look and see if there’s anything that you’d like to borrow. • During Holy Week events and services were held every day – film, compline, Taize service, Maundy Thursday handwashing & eucharist, Good Friday walk of witness & hour before the cross, plus children’s events in Norton and Sandhurst. See some images here
